Zupetz Awarded 2025 Dr. Michael Till – Northern Minnesota Dental Inc. Scholarship
The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry has announced that Jack Zupetz, a third-year dental student, has been awarded the 2025 Dr. Michael Till – Northern Minnesota Dental Inc. Scholarship. Zupetz, the son of Jim and Rae Anne Zupetz of Britt, Minnesota, was selected for his academic excellence and dedication to serving rural communities.

Police Pursuit – Cook Area
On Saturday, August 2nd at approximately 0745 hours, St. Louis County Deputies received a report of a check welfare for a male passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked near the railroad tracks on Johnson Rd east of Hwy 53 in the City of Cook. The male woke up and sped off while Cook Ambulance arrived on scene. 911 Dispatch received further reports of the vehicle driving recklessly afterwards.
