BOOK CLUB TO MEET
The Cook Area Book Club will meet next on June 10 at 1 p.m. at the Friends of the Arts Gallery. The book for discussion this month is “The Women” by Kristin Hannah. It is a story about a 20-year-old nursing student who is inspired by a friend who told her that “women can be heroes.” She joins the Army Nurse Corps to serve in the Vietnam War. CARD OF THANKS
It feels like words aren’t enough of a thank you. My family and I are in complete awe of the support, goodwill and kindness that has flooded our community. With the help and generosity of friends, neighbors, acquaintances and even strangers, we are able to divert the distress of financial and physical burden while we learn to know and love what our family looks like now, and what is on the horizon.
