TONY SCHLOMKA

 Tony Schlomka, age 84, of Buyck, MN ‘Sunrise Construction’ passed away at home on October 14, 2025.
 God came down and picked up Tony; he is headed for his home in Heaven. Tony was an honest, fair, hardworking good guy. He never planned on retirement. His 85 Mack Superliner was his pride and joy. Tony joined the 49ers Union in 1962 and was a lifelong member (62 years). He knew a lot about dirt, gravel, CAT, and septic pumping. Tony was “old school”- wasn’t interested in today’s technology. Everyone knew him by his Kromer caps, never without one on his head had a drawer full and every pattern.
 Tony was an avid “Dirt Track Late Model” racing fan. He and Bev hooked up their travel trailer and off they would go. Traveled here and there and everywhere. They often spent a couple winter months in Arizona, camping at the racetrack with their Great Circle of Racing Friends. They would sit around the campfire (which Tony loved) sharing many stories and making lifelong memories.
 Preceded in death by his parents Henry Carl Schlomka and Villa Marie (Polski) Schlomka, and brothers Gary and Hank Schlomka.
 Survived by his partner/soulmate of 52 years Bev McEwen, daughter Tammy Schlomka, son Paul Schlomka (Nikki Johnson), stepdaughter Christine Pokorny, granddaughter Samantha Schlomka, brother Denny Schlomka, and many nieces and nephews.
 Tony wasn’t a Pary-Wedding-Funeral kind of guy, but…. we’re going to get together with friends and neighbors at the VRT on Sunday, November 2nd, 12-4pm to share some memories and stories, snacks, and drinks. All are welcome. Online condolences to www.mlakerfuneralhome.com
