Community Connect event happening in Mt. Iron
Community Connect, the event designed as a one-stop-shop providing a variety of free services for people experiencing homelessness or economic hardship, is coming to Mt. Iron.
The next Community Connect event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Mt. Iron Community Center, 8586 Enterprise Drive South in Mt. Iron. As the name suggests, Community Connect helps connect people to resources available from agencies and non-profits in the community.
This Community Connect event will offer a free meal; hygiene items; housing supports; older adult resources; children and family services; health insurance information; mental health and substance use disorder resources; warrant resolutions; vaccine and disease education; and more.
Arrowhead Transit will provide free transportation to and from the event on existing routes.
This Community Connect is co-sponsored by St. Louis County Public Health, Fairview, Essentia Health, AEOA, Medica, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
