Sturgeon River Chapter Banquet Set for September

The Sturgeon River Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) is gearing up for its annual banquet, scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025, in Mt. Iron, Minnesota. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m., with an evening of food, raffles, auctions, and camaraderie planned. The exact venue will be announced soon.

The banquet is the chapter’s biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting MDHA’s mission of habitat work, youth education, advocacy, and legislation. Funds raised help protect deer hunting traditions and sustain healthy wildlife populations across Minnesota.

“The banquet is always a fun way to bring the community together,” said chapter organizers. “It’s a chance to enjoy a great meal, win prizes, and most importantly, support conservation efforts right here at home.”

In past years, the event has featured raffles, silent auctions, games, and a hearty dinner. Organizers expect a similar lineup this fall, with plenty of opportunities for attendees to walk away with prizes while helping the cause.

Membership Opportunities

Those who are not yet members of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association will have the opportunity to sign up at the banquet. Memberships can also be purchased online at mndeerhunters.com. Individual memberships begin at $35 per year and include a subscription to Whitetales magazine, access to local events, and the satisfaction of supporting conservation and outdoor heritage.

Save the Date

Hunters, families, and community members alike are encouraged to mark their calendars for September 13.

The Sturgeon River Chapter’s banquet promises an evening of fun while ensuring that future generations can continue to enjoy Minnesota’s deer hunting traditions.
