Not much news this week, but I do have a little news to write.

Well-wishes go out to Dawn Bergerson who had to have surgery after her ligament tore again and there was infection. She had surgery Saturday so let’s hope that this surgery was successful and she is on the road to recovery. Women’s Bible study will begin Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 7 to 8 p.m. Join us at the Crane Lake Chapel every Wednesday.

Vermilion River Greens had an 18-Hole Par-3 Tournament on Saturday with 19 participants. 1st – Scotty Rutar: 56, 2nd – Brandon Anderson: 57, 3rd – Rob Rutar: 58. Longest Putt #2 – Yvette Rutar, Closest to the Pin #8 – Scotty Rutar, Closest to the Pin #14 – Aaron Olson. Skins went to John Parise, Aaron Olson, Dan Will and Brandon Anderson. Hole-in-one playoff – Addison Kilibarda. It was a great day for golf.

The fire department is hosting a CPR class on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 6 p.m., if anyone is interested in attending. Some are getting certified / recertified and some are taking it just to have the knowledge. No cost unless you would like a certification card, which would cost $8.02. If you are interested, let Kathy Weiand know so she can give a head count to the instructor.
