Minnesotans Can Preview 2026 Health Plans through MNsure Ahead of Open Enrollment

Minnesotans who need health insurance for 2026 can get an early start on health plan shopping with MNsure. Starting now, consumers can go to MNsure.org to check 2026 options and get a free, anonymous cost estimate. MNsure’s annual open enrollment period starts November 1.

“Even without the enhanced tax credits, eligible Minnesota families can still save an average of $600 per month – more than $7,000 a year – on private health plans through MNsure.”

With just three key pieces of information – where you live, who is in your household, and your total household income – consumers can get an immediate estimate of how much money they could save in 2026 by enrolling through MNsure. Consumers can explore all of the 2026 plans available in their area and compare plans side-by-side.

New and notable in 2026

All Minnesotans have health plan choices from at least two insurance companies. Most Minnesotans have choices from three or more.

All bronze plans sold through MNsure work with health savings accounts (HSAs). In the past, consumers had to enroll in a high-deductible health plan to use an HSA – and many bronze plans didn’t qualify. Now, every bronze plan sold through MNsure meets the rules.

MNsure now partners with two more dental insurance companies: Companion and Humana. Five dental insurance companies now offer dental plans through MNsure across Minnesota.

MNsure’s 22 Broker Enrollment Centers (PDF) offer free walk-in assistance, and there are hundreds of MNsure-certified assisters across the state ready to help in-person, over the phone, or by virtual meeting.
