COOK PUBLIC LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AUGUST 25

Work to restore the Cook Public Library to pre-flood condition begins on Monday, August 25, 2025. The construction project to restore walls, carpet and electrical outlets damaged by the flood also includes a roof replacement and HVAC relocation.

Temporary library services will be available at Trinity Lutheran Church, 231 2nd Street East starting Tuesday, August 26.

Temporary location hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm. Patrons should use the south side parking lot and entrance (behind Park State Bank).

Limited services are available including books and DVDs for checkout, interlibrary loan pick up and drop off, copy/printing, reference and technology help.

The book drop in front of the public library will be open during construction. Wi-Fi outside the library will be available but there may be times of interrupted service.
