Buyck Area News
Tony and Bev had company over the weekend when Dan and Monica from Somerset, Wis., visited. Snowmobiling in Buyck is their favorite place (never been here in the summer before). They brought Bev’s sister Patty Crandall from New Richmond, Wis., with them. Tony took them out on the trail in a side-by-side. They were surprised to see all of the rocks they rode over when covered with snow.
Saturday morning there was a lot of Canadian smoke in the air, along with fog from the Friday night one inch of rain. But Sunday morning was beautiful. Dan and Monica went golfing early. (Actually, Monica was the golf cart driver/caddy, and thanks to Kevin for the tip on how to keep the bugs away.) They were impressed with the beautiful, nice little golf course we have, and said it was great. When done golfing, Tony, Bev and Patty met them at the VRT for a delicious breakfast (thank you, Nikki). Was nice to see SoupCan there. The guys had a good visit with him – they know their heavy equipment.
From there they took a ride to Crane Lake to see the new Visitors Center and campground. Oh, my! That was something to see.
Sadly – they left for home around 3 p.m. A good time was had by all. We will see them this winter.
Mike Pasbrig and Jeff Ludvik were here over the week. They celebrated the 4th of July with family and then had a week or so to have some down time. Steve Pasbrig was also here over the 4th of July with Jace and Jenny. They did some fishing and lots of swimming. It was pretty darn warm here over the 4th.
Bart and Tracy McCoy stopped over here (Dan and Geri’s) on Sunday to say hi. It was nice to see them and then they headed out for some evening fishing. They said the fishing was pretty darn good over the weekend.
That is it for this week. Keep on smiling till next week.
