Buyck Area News

It was a hot 4th of July on Friday. Pretty darn humid, but then it stormed that night and all Crane Lake activities were canceled. They had their parade the following day, but fireworks did not happen this year in Crane Lake. Hopefully, next year it will be better weather. Orr 3rd of July went very well, lots of people attended it and everyone had a great time. Myrtle Lake held their annual 5th of July with a great afternoon of activities, and fun was had by all. Rob and Scotty Rutar won the Bean Bag Tournament. They had to come out of the losers’ bracket to win. They won two games against Jon and David Bauer. Everyone enjoyed the addition of Karaoke this year! Thanks to all who came out and celebrated with them. It’s a must try for next year for sure.
The local area was very busy with people all over the place fishing or just hanging out at all the local area businesses. With all the activities, it made for a great weekend.
We got some much needed rain and that really helped with the gardens and the hot, humid weather also helped. I would say the garden really did well over the weekend. Today is Monday and it was much cooler and some more rain is coming on and off tonight they say.
The Bazaar at the Crane Lake Chapel will be July 16 at 10 a.m. so mark those calendars. This is a big deal in this local area to help support the Crane Lake Chapel.
I got news that the Buyck Fire Department is not having their annual BBQ, Corn Feed and Auction this year as they are under construction to rebuild their building. They said they will be excited to show off the new facilities next year. Donations can still be made to the Buyck Fire Department. All donations are greatly appreciated.
That is it for this week. If you have any news you would like to share, please give me a call.
