Northwoods Friends of the Arts (NWFA) is inviting the community to their

Annual Meeting and potluck dinner on Tuesday, June 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.,

with special guest speaker Dan Pellinen. The meeting is at NWFA gallery,

210 S River Street, Cook, where over 40 local artists are currently

showcasing their work in the month-long Spring Art Expo.

In Dan Pellinen’s new book, “The Yoga Baseball Method,” he will share

his expertise and insights on yoga methods and mental strategies for

moving better and achieving movement proficiency in sports and enhancing

your everyday life. According to Dan, “The Performance Practical

Development (PPD) framework is a smarter way to train that enhances

everything you already do.” Signed copies will be available for purchase.

Guests will also be able to purchase tickets for the 50/50 Raffle &

Annual Fundraising Concert. Winners will be announced at the Annual

Fundraising Concert featuring bluegrass music by Monroe Crossing on June

28 held at the Cook Community Center, 510 Gopher Drive. Tickets can be
